Osun State University Unveils Ultra-Modern Senate Building A 103-Office, 400-Seater Masterpiece Funded by TETFund & Built by Wazlat Engineering❤️🇳🇬

A new dawn of excellence has been ushered into Osun State University, Osogbo, with the commissioning of its state-of-the-art Senate Building — a landmark edifice set to redefine academic administration in the institution.

The monumental project, facilitated by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) and delivered by Wazlat Engineering Limited, was officially commissioned in grand style, with top dignitaries in attendance. 

Among them were the Chairman, Board of Trustees of TETFund, His Excellency Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari; the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Architect Sonny S.T. Echono; the Vice Chancellor of UNIOSUN, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye; and the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke. 

Also present was the Chief Executive Director of Wazlat Engineering Limited, Engr. Ismaheel Ademola Adigun, who led the successful execution of the project.

Awarded in September 2022 and with its foundation stone laid on February 2nd, 2023, the Senate Building today stands tall as a masterpiece of modern academic infrastructure built with global standards of functionality, durability, and aesthetics.

A 250-seater Senate Chamber and a 150-seater Council Chamber

2 elevators and 10 staircases for easy access

103 offices spread across three floors

2 modern conference rooms

86 toilets for staff and visitors’ convenience

Dedicated offices for principal officers, including the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Bursar, and Deputy Vice Chancellors

Speaking at the commissioning, stakeholders praised the collaboration between TETFund, Osun State University, and Wazlat Engineering, describing the structure as a symbol of commitment to advancing higher education in Nigeria.

The Senate Building, now the administrative hub of UNIOSUN, is more than just an infrastructure project — it is a legacy of vision, partnership, and excellence, set to inspire academic growth and effective governance in the years to come.
