A renowned gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Senator Mudashiru Husain has thrown his weight behind the State Party Leader and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola over his strategic leadership which is stabilizing and giving the party an ideological clarity in the state.

In a press statement released on Monday in Osogbo, the former lawmaker representing Osun West Senatorial District also described Oyetola as "a calm, silent achiever, whose indelible impacts in both governance and political leadership continue to earn him admirations among the party leaders and members, and indeed across the state and the nation".

Husain, who is also the Ejigbo Local Government APC Apex Leader, noted that the progressive family in Osun State and particularly, in Ejigbo Local Government remains proud of his undeniable strategic contributions to the stability and strength of the party, especially at this critical time its internal strength and collective resolve are being tested.

"Our leader's gentlemanly disposition and deep-seated understanding of political dynamics have made him a compass of reason and reconciliation, drawing strength from silence and transforming vision into impactful outcomes", he said.

The former NPC federal commissioner further lauded the Minister's resilience and unshaken belief in rule of law, especially in his bold stance and principled commitment to defending constitutional and judicial order in relation to the protracted tussle over local government administration in the state, noting that his posture has given a reassuring optimism to every progressive stakeholder.

Husain, however, reaffirmed the resolute commitment and loyalty of Ejigbo Local Government APC to the Oyetola-led leadership of the party in the state, emphasizing that the Ejigbo Progressive family remains "united, high-spirited and firm" in rallying behind his leadership to reclaim Osun in 2026 as well as achieving the second term mandate of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
