Professor Mufutau Olaoye Atayese has been appointed as the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji (FUADSI), Osun State.

Before his appointment, Prof. Atayese served as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development) at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). 

He is a renowned expert in Plant Nutrition, with over three decades of experience in teaching, research, and university administration. 

Prof. Atayese has held several strategic leadership positions at FUNAAB, including Dean, College of Plant Science and Crop Production, and Chairman, Management Committee on Transportation. He has also served on numerous statutory and ad-hoc committees, including the Appointments and Promotions Committee for Academics and the Board of Postgraduate Studies. 

His academic contributions and leadership have earned him several recognitions, including Fellow, Agricultural Society of Nigeria (FASN), and Visiting Research Fellowship ((link unavailable)), International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan.
