As Muslims across Nigeria and the world mark the celebration of Eid al-Adha, a prominent leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC)  at Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila Federal Constituency, Hon. Chief Adeniyi Ismail Oluwatosin (AIO), has extended his heartfelt greetings to the Muslim Ummah, describing the occasion as a powerful reminder of sacrifice, faith, and collective progress.

In a goodwill message made available to journalists in Ila-Orangun on Friday morning, Hon. Oluwatosin described Eid al-Adha as “a profound moment of spiritual reflection, sacrifice, and deep gratitude to the Almighty,” drawing from the enduring legacy of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), whose obedience to Allah exemplifies the true essence of devotion.

Quoting from the Holy Qur’an, the federal lawmaker noted:

"Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you.” _ Surah Al-Hajj (22:37)

He emphasized that beyond the ritual of animal sacrifice, Eid al-Adha serves as an important call to renew values of empathy, humility, and unity, especially in a time when the country needs collective commitment to peace and national development.

“As we slaughter our rams and share in the joy of the season, we must also remember to extend kindness to our neighbours, support the less privileged, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood within our communities,” he said.

Hon. Oluwatosin further reminded Nigerians of the importance of perseverance through national and personal trials, noting that Islam teaches that ease follows hardship.

"Indeed, with hardship comes ease.” _ Surah Ash-Sharh (94:6)

The grassroots politician urged constituents and Nigerians to remain steadfast in their belief in a better Nigeria, adding that real progress comes through sacrifice, patriotism, and shared responsibility.

“As your servant and representative, I believe deeply in our collective capacity to rise above challenges,” he said. “With patience, faith, and purposeful action, we can transform our constituency and our country into a land of enduring prosperity.”

Hon. Oluwatosin reaffirmed his commitment to good governance, inclusivity, and developmental service delivery, encouraging citizens to reflect the spirit of Eid al-Adha not just in words, but in their everyday conduct.

He concluded by praying for peace, renewed purpose, and the continued progress of Nigeria.

"May Almighty Allah accept our sacrifices, forgive our shortcomings, and grant us lasting peace and fulfilment,” he said.
