...pledges massive votes

In a bid to ensure the emergence of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji popularly called AMBO as the flag-bearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun State, a frontline political group - Osun Progressives People's Forum, OPPF, has thrown weight behind the candidature of the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer National Inland Waterways Authority NIWA, Oyebamiji. 

The Forum attributed its endorsement decision to the convincing track records of Oyebamiji in both private and public sectors with indellible imprints over the decades. 

This is even as the Forum pledged massive engagement, campaign and massive votes across the state. 

Addressing the gathering at the endorsement programme held at Ilerioluwa Campaign Office, Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo, the OPPF State Coordinator, Hon. Wasiu Abiona, said the Forum was resolute to mobilize the people across the state towards ensuring the emergence of Oyebamiji. 

He attributed Oyebamiji's endorsement to his competence and unwavering commitment to progressive cause over the years. 

"We are all aware of the political activities at the moment as we move closer to the next governorship election in the state. It is on that note that I need to intimate you all to the decision of our Forum to endorse the frontline APC gubernatorial aspirant as our preferred candidate to run and become the Executive Governor of our dear state in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun, in person of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji popularly called AMBO. 

"Oyebamiji is a known personality in the socioeconomic and political firmament of our dear state and beyond. As a man who has contributed significantly to the development and advancement of our party, Oyebamiji has proven to be an outstanding leader who leads with fear of God and empathy for the progress of followers and humanity at large. 

"I must mention his significant contribution to the national growth and development since his emergence as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA under the leadership of our great leader and former Governor of our dear state, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola. Today, we are proud that the core objective of establishing the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy by our indefatigable President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been attained as manifested in the unparalleled achievements physically made in the maritime sector. 

"No doubting the fact that Oyebamiji is a tested and trusted fellow who understands the political dynamics and socioeconomic reality particularly finances of our dear state."

Corobonating the statement, the Women's Coordinator of the Forum, Princess Adejoke Oyin-Adejobi expressed the readiness of the group to continuously mobilize the people across the political units, wards and local governments to ensure Oyebamiji's emergence.  

Speaking on the impressive attendance of the members of the Forum, Princess Oyin-Adejobi assured massive votes, saying over 4,000 selected participants at the endorsement was a testament to the people's readiness to give their votes to Oyebamiji come 2026. 

Earlier in their separate goodwill messages, former Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye; former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Adebayo Adeleke; former Commissioner for Information, Hon. Sunday Akere; former Lawmakers, Hon. Festus Babatunde Komolafe, Hon. Wasiu Adebayo, Hon. Yinusa Amobi, Hon. Kunle Akande; former Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Radak Adeosun and Hon. Kayode Oduoye applauded leadership and members of the Forum for the firm and bold decision taken. 

In his short speech, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji commended the Forum for their strong belief in his capacity to administer the affairs of the state and promised not to disappoint them.
