Easter:Babayemi Calls For Selflessness

One of the leading lights of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Omooba Dotun Babayemi,has canvassed for a more dedicated service to humanity that would be geared towards enhancing people's living standards.

In particular,Babayemi called on Christians to always be exemplary in their conducts as bestowed on them by Jesus Christ.

He made these known in his congratulatory message to Christians on the completion of this year's Lenten season and the Easter celebration.

"The trajectory of Jesus' life as encapsulated by his eventual death and resurrection, definitely ramrod-straight a lesson for us all. It's a selflessness that has no colouration or vagueness. This is the vibe and energy we need in our services to the nation and its people at whatever level we find ourselves" he urged.

Babayemi added that the task of making the society great and ensuring a bearable life for everyone should not be left in the hands of the government alone.

"Everyone has a part to play, both the governed and the government. While the governments at all levels are expected to evolve mechanisms that will create conduciveness, the people's support base must be truly strong" insisted the APC stalwart 

He appealed to Christians to make sure that the lessons learnt during the forty days Lenten season was never allowed to filter away with the winds; stressing,"As we learn and talk it, let's live it in practical terms in all segments of our lives" Babayemi further appealed.
