Today, March 8, 2025, marks International Women's Day, and the Chairman of Boripe Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Odebunmi, is celebrating the remarkable women of Boripe.

In a statement released by his office, Hon. Odebunmi hailed the women of Boripe for their contributions to the community, saying, "I want to take this opportunity to commend the women of Boripe for their resilience, determination, and contributions to our community. Your tireless efforts in various fields have not gone unnoticed."

Hon. Odebunmi also reiterated his administration's commitment to empowering women and promoting gender equality in Boripe. "As we celebrate International Women's Day, let us renew our commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable society. Let us work together to break down barriers and challenge biases that hinder women's progress."

The Chairman also announced plans to launch several initiatives aimed at empowering women in Boripe, including vocational training programs, entrepreneurship workshops, and health initiatives.

"We believe that empowering women is key to building a stronger, more prosperous community," Hon. Odebunmi said. "We will continue to work tirelessly to support and empower the women of Boripe."

The International Women's Day celebration in Boripe will feature a series of events, including a symposium on women's empowerment, a health fair, and a cultural exhibition.
