RAMADAN GREETINGS FROM CONVENER, OSUN UNITY FORUM, BARR.ABIMBOLA AMUSAN.
In the name of the Most Merciful and Gracious Allah. As we begin the holy month of Ramadan, a time of great spiritual rebirth, devotion, and sacrifice, I send my warmest regards to the Muslim Ummah. Ramadan is more than just giving up food and liquids; it's a time for introspection, more deeds of compassion, and a renewed dedication to morality. "O you who have believed, it is decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous," Allah (SWT) tells us in the Holy Qur'an. (Al-Baqarah Surah 2:183) Let's embrace the fundamental virtues of self-control, patience, compassion, and generosity as we commemorate this holy month.
During this time, we should sincerely worship Allah, recite the Holy Qur'an, and ask for forgiveness for our transgressions in order to become closer to Him. We have an opportunity to deepen our faith, assist the underprivileged, and offer prayers for peace and prosperity in Nigeria and our beloved Osun State. As directed by Allah (SWT), we as a people must come together in the spirit of love. I implore every member of the Osun Unity Forum to observe the fundamentals of justice and peace and to be kind to their neighbors regardless of their religious beliefs. In our prayers, let us also keep in mind our leaders, security forces, and fellow citizens, pleading with Allah to lead our country toward development, harmony, and sustainability.
Finally, may Allah accept our fasts, prayers, and good deeds in this holy month and bless us with His boundless mercy. May He grant us the strength to emerge from Ramadan spiritually uplifted and purified.
Ramadan Kareem!
