Oyetola hails Chief Shuaib Oyedokun at 90

Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola has felicitated an elder statesman and frontline politician, Chief Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun on the occasion of his 90th birthday anniversary. 

Oyetola described the nonagenarian as an encyclopedia of knowledge and rare phenomena whose repository of knowledge in human endeavours had imparted greatly in humanity and contributed significantly to national growth and development.

The Osun erstwhile Governor, in a statement from his media office,  acknowledged the sterling leadership quality and outstanding performance of Chief Oyedokun at different positions held, noting that the veteran politician had written his name in the sands of time, just as his indelible imprints had been source of inspiration to young and old in the national political landscape and beyond.

The Minister, specifically extolled the doyen for being the paragon of hope and inspiration for all, saying that Chief Oyedokun's fatherly role in building a virile, just and principled atmosphere within the political space cannot be overemphasised.

"Honestly, our father, mentor and role model,  Chief Oyedokun is a 'study' within the political space. He is indeed an embodiment of virtuousness whose repository of divine wisdom and intellect had imparted greatly in humanity. 

"Celebrating Chief Oyedokun is a celebration of worthiness not only by his astonishing philosophical ideology in politics but also for his inimitable tenacity and can-do spirit which is second to none. 

"As a national figure and distinguished chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and elder statesman, your exemplary leadership and desirous tenacity have been the guiding principles to upcoming politicians. We are indeed blessed to have you as a father, mentor and instructor. 

"Baba, as you climbed the ladder of nonagenarian today, I pray Almighty Allah to continue to uphold you and grant you good health and longevity of life to continue to serve and impact more humanity. Congratulations, Sir," Oyetola added.
