OPEN LETTER TO RT. HON. ADEWALE EGBEDUN

Dear Honorable Speaker,

We, the concerned citizens of Iragbiji, are writing to express our utmost disappointment, shock, and disgust at your recent actions and utterances against the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdur-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi   Odundun IV.

Your unguarded and unstatesmanlike comments have not only brought your office into disrepute but have also exposed your disdain for our traditional institutions and the sacred throne of the Aragbiji.

As the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, we expect you to be a symbol of dignity, respect, and honor. However, your actions have fallen short of these expectations, and we are compelled to express our strong disapproval and loss of dignity for you addressing the Aragbiji in that manner.

The Aragbiji of Iragbiji is not just a monarch; he is the custodian of our traditions, culture, and heritage. He is the father of our people, and his throne is sacred and deserving of respect.

Your attempt to denigrate the Aragbiji and undermine his authority is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. We demand that you retract your statements and offer a sincere apology to the Aragbiji and the people of Iragbiji.

We also call on the Osun State Government and the House of Assembly to take immediate action to address this situation and ensure that our traditional institutions are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.

We will not stand idly by while our monarch is disrespected and our cultural heritage is undermined. We will continue to speak out and demand justice and respect for our traditional institutions.
