Hon. Chief Adeniyi Ismail Oluwatosin (AIO) Extends Ramadan Greetings, Urges Muslims to Uphold Islamic Doctrines
As the sacred month of Ramadan commences, Hon. Chief Adeniyi Ismail Oluwatosin (AIO) has extended his heartfelt greetings to the Muslim Ummah, emphasizing the significance of the period as a time of purification, spiritual renewal, and divine mercy.
In his Ramadan message, AIO urged all Muslim faithful to embrace the noble doctrines of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), fostering piety, compassion, and steadfast devotion in their worship. He reiterated the Qur’anic injunction on fasting, quoting:
"O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous." (Qur’an 2:183)
The Ila-born philanthropist and political figure highlighted the importance of total submission to Allah’s will, encouraging Muslims to abstain from all that He forbids while intensifying acts of righteousness. He further enjoined believers to engage in prayers, charity, and good deeds, as these define the true essence of Ramadan.
He also expressed prayers for the Muslim community, asking Almighty Allah to accept their fasts, forgive their shortcomings, and grant them divine mercy. He prayed for peace, prosperity, and guidance for families, communities, and the nation at large.
"May this Ramadan bring us immense blessings, strengthen our faith, and grant us the fortitude to observe it in the best manner," he concluded.
