FAJI DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (FDA) HOLDS MAIDEN SUMMIT

The Afaaji of Faji, Odo-Otin Local Government Area, Oba Moshood Olawale Olaleke II has encouraged youths in the Community to embrace unity and not relent in championing the course of development in Faji, as he also assured them of his readiness to support their efforts.

The Monarch made this known during the inaugural Community Development Summit organised by the Faji Development Association, (FDA) on Tuesday, 31st December 2024 at the Faji Community Hall, where stakeholders gathered to deliberate on various issues ranging from Youth Empowerment, Educational development and Cultural Festivals among other ideas that will see to the development of the community.

In his remarks, Afaaji of Faji described the summit as such that was in tune with his efforts to ensure that the community witness rapid development.

"I am indeed the fortunate one here today, because, I am very happy that while myself and my Chiefs and other stakeholders are deliberating and working round the clock to ensure the development of our community, the organizers of this summit have also demonstrated interest in the same course, which brought about this gathering today, I commend the Coordinators of this Association and I want you to make Love and unity your watchword" Afaji said.

The Monarch further charged all the youths to be involved in the planning of the next Faji Day Celebration which had been fixed for Nov 22, 2025.

Also, one of the Speakers, who is also a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and a former Lawmaker in the Osun State House of Assembly, Engr. Adeniran Kilomodemo Ibitoye popularly known as KLM lauded the organisers of the summit. He described it as a commendable step towards the development of Faji.

However, KLM charged all members of the Faji Development Association to focus more on the execution of their ideas, so it doesn't end at the stage of being a brilliant idea without implementation. He also reprimanded youths who derives pleasure in smoking of Indian hemps, adding that such act is inimical to their growth.

Other speakers including Nathaniel Oyesona, Olusegun Oladosu, Tayo Afolabi, Awoyemi Soladoye and Adegoke Afolabi also urged members of the Association home and abroad not to relent in their efforts in taking the centre stage in contributing to the development of Faji.

The summit was attended by Chiefs, Professionals and youths in the community.
