Iragbiji Agog for 33rd Iragbiji Day Grand finale and Fundraising for Development.

It was yet another memorable day as the widely extolled Aragbiji of Iragbiji land and Pro-Chancellor of Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Hrm. Oba Abdur-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi (JP) FCIPM, FNIM, MNIPR, FAFUED, FOSCOTECH, Odundun IV Asoludero, led Sons, Daughters and distinguished guests of Iragbiji to celebrate the annual Iragbiji Day/Fundraising Ceremony on Saturday, 16th Nov., 2024 at the Oke Iragbiji Grammar School, Iragbiji, Osun State.

Iragbiji Day  celebration, a popular festival which takes place annually in Iragbiji, a city in Osun State, saw the rich cultural heritage of Iragbiji as some notable and dignitaries  who hold political offices, Businessmen, Businesswomen, people in the community and it's environment trooped out in stylish attire and resplendent colours to celebrate this year Iragbiji 2024 day.

Oba Olabomi while  addressing the gathering at the auspicious occasion, applauded all indigenes of Iragbiji led by the Chief Host, the current Minister for Marine and Blue Economy, Alh. Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola and First Lady, Kafayat Oyetola, selected family compounds who were Family Compound Chief Launchers in Iragbiji   as well as all distinguished invited guests who made it a priority to be present.

The monarch thanked the Iragbiji Development Association Executive who worked rigorously to ensure the success of the annual Iragbiji Day celebration. Special thank was given to the Honourable Minister Adegboyega Oyetola, because of his continuous efforts in ensuring the development of Iragbij, Osun State and Nigeria as a whole. 

Oba Olabomi used the occasion to secure a mass vote of confidence in Alh. Gboyega Oyetola who the people unanimously applaud as their illustrious Son. 

The Aragbiji also expressed appreciation to the Chairman of the occasion, Alh. Bola Oyebode, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Magnum Trust Insurance, Lagos.

Five family Compounds out of the ten selected participated in the inter- family Compound Fundraising competition with Eesa  Gbogboelolu family compound emerging champion and award winner with a donation of N1,020,000.

The Honourable Minister, Adegboyega  Isiaka Oyetola in his  speech  at the ceremony thanked the  people of Iragbiji most especially Oba Olabomi for being a pillar of support for all the people of Iragbiji and prayed Almighty God to bestow on him sound health, long life and prosperity. 

The Honourable Minister used the occasion to appeal to Landlords and Land ladies in Iragbijiland to make houses cheaper for the students and the staffs of the coming Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies that would be approve soon by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The auspicious occasion was witnessed by dignitaries and notable people across the country who came from far and near to donate money. They include

friends of the Honourable Minister and other guests at the occasion, top government functionaries, Royal Fathers, top political and religious leaders and captains of industries amongst others.
