The Phantom Ikirun APC Members' Defection Into PDP, Ruling Party Being Clever By Half

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has chastised the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the state over the imaginary and make-believe defection of the APC members into the ruling PDP in Ikirun on Tuesday.

For how long would the Osun State chapter of the PDP be living in a magical island by feeding the unsuspecting members of the public with mere facades in order to propagate  a false popularity of their party in the state?

What happened in Ikirun on Tuesday was a mere theatrical show of shame embarked upon by the leadership of the PDP in order to give a false impression that the ruling party is still firmly on the ground when it is verifiably visible to the blind, audible to the deaf and tangible to the idiots that the sorry sight  of the Osun State PDP is not different from what has befallen the party at the centre.

The fact of the matter was that no APC member defected into the PDP in Ikirun as the party's directive that all their members in the 10 local government council areas making up the Osun Central Senatorial District should make Ikirun the rendezvous of the imaginary defection of the faceless APC members into the PDP could not amount to a defection from the opposition to the visibly embattled PDP.

One would have thought that the agents of the political stratagem of the state PDP would have disclosed to the unsuspecting members of the public that the state leadership of the PDP mobilized its members from each of the wards making up the  Osun Central Senatorial District on the basis of five 18-seater buses per ward.

Similar political defection abracadabra would be replicated by the PDP in the other two Senatorial districts in the state very soon according to sources close to the ruling party,

What the PDP strategists who were jolted by the superlative defection of Barrister Kayode Oduoye did in order to play its effect down was to result to the dubious defection exercise that only happened in the imagination of those who hatched it.

Investigation showed that the planners of the imaginary defection of the APC members into the PDP in Ikirun are now smiling to the bank as that was the only sure way that  the emperor from Ede whose tenancy of the Bola Ige House, Abere, would end in about twenty four months' time, could be ripped off of the stockpiled dollars from the public tilt.

If not that some people are pathologically daft, how plausible is it that the PDP would not list out the names of such defectors if any substantial value should be attached to the make-believe defection ostensibly peopled by the rented crowd.

The Osun State PDP should know that their days are numbered in the corridors of power in the state as the ever-vigilant people of Osun are wiser and they wouldn't allow themselves to be swindled in 2026 as it was dubiously done in 2022.

The people of Osun State would have nothing to do with a government that is misplacing its priority which is digging the gutter when the proverbial edifice is on fire.

As things are presently in the state, the looters are in charge of the treasury of the state which they are plundering from the left, right and centre and it's after the end of their  inglorious administration in the state that the magnitude of the plundering caused the state would manifest.

We, as a party, sympathize with the people of Osun State over their present untoward plight in the hands of the minimalist PDP-controlled  State of the Virtues  as the case of Governor Ademola Adeleke could be likened to someone at the apex of authority having an unfettered access to an elephant but showing off an ant!
