Tribute To A Cherished Political Icon, Hon Mudashiru Toogun. By Engr. Ibitoye Kilomodemo KLM
I can't still believe this. A great man, a versatile former member of the House of Representatives who represented Iwo Federal Constituency between 1992-1993, Hon Mudashiru Oguntola Toogun is gone.
He was one of the courageous
political identities and a cherished political icon of Iwo land. His death would mark the end of an era characterized by dedication and impactful service to the community.
He was my legislative senior but he always referred to me as a brother and a friend. He was regarded as one of my revered political Mentors. I used to call him "Bororo" because he was the Special Adviser/Chairman, Committee on Peaceful Co-Existence between Fulani/Bororo and Crop Farmers in Osun State.
He was also a Commissioner for Special Duties and held other various key positions throughout his illustrious life.
We worked together as a team to curb the spread of CORONA VIRUS PANDEMIC in the State in 2020. He was also a one-time Chairman, Special Committee on Fire Safety Matters in Osun State.
My oga "Bororo" would have been 67 years old on September 23, 2024, but God knows better. His contributions have left a great mark on the political landscape and the hearts of many.
May Almighty God forgive his shortcomings and grant him Alijanat fridaous. 🤲
Until the Resurrection morning when we shall all meet to PART NO MORE. It is Good Night, a good man, a foremost and political giant, Hon Mudashiru Toogun. Adieu!
E-Signed:
Engr Prince Adeniran Kilomodemo Ibitoye KLM
