Lekan Omoolore doles out free JAMB forms to 174 indigent students in Osun
No fewer than 170 indigent students of Osogbo recently benefitted from the free UTME forms programme of the Executive Director of Marine and Operation, Nigeria Port Authority, Engr. Olalekan Badmus, popularly called "Lekan Omoolore."
The forms were officially presented to 174 candidates after a brief screening/qualifying test on Saturday 10th February.
Over 400 students obtained application forms to participate in the process, but after the screening exercise, 174 persons were shortlisted.
According to the facilitator, Badmus, the gesture was designed to assist parents to ease the financial burden of paying for UTME forms.
Badmus, an associate of the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, was commended by the beneficiaries and their parents, who described the humanitarian gesture as timely and profound.
