Ilesa Grammar School to honor Oyetola with Legacy Award

The old students association of the Ilesa Grammar School ( ILEGSOSA) has scheduled to honour the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former governor of Osun State, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola , at the grand finale of activities marking the school's 90th Founders' Day.

In the letter announcing the conferment of Legacy Award for Outstanding Contribution to Education & Community Development on the former governor, the Association expresses her gratitude to Oyetola for ensuring a life-saving policy reversal during his governorship "which resulted in the restoration of the name ( pride) and uniform ( the identity)" of the great school.

The Association equally adds  that, "This singular act further bears eloquent testimony to your visionary leadership, foresight, and of being empathetic, strategic, emotionally intelligent, analytical, resourceful, principled, fair, judicious, compassionate, creative, pragmatic..."

The letter also reads in part, "On behalf of the leadership and members of Ilesa Grammar School Old Students Association ( ILEGSOSA), in due gratitude and recognition of this exceptional unequalled and unparalleled leadership demonstrated, the noble role played by your Excellency, we write to notify your honour of the conferment of the Legacy Award for Outstanding Contribution to Education & Community Development during the grand finale of the week-long epoch making event."

The award ceremony will hold at Sambeatz Event Centre, Ilesa, on the 10th February, 2024 by 12noon.
