Osun Education Sector Will Continue To Improve Under Oyetola - S.A Education, Jamiu Olawumi .................. commissions renovated block of classrooms donated by old students*
The Special Adviser to Govenor Adegboyega Oyetola on Education, Hon. Jamiu Olawumi has re-iterated the commitment of the present administration to the development of the State's education sector to a standard that will be the envy of other states in the federation.
The Special Adviser stated this today while commissioning the renovated block of classrooms donated by the 1970/1974 set of the Old Students Association of St. Charles' Grammar School, Osogbo.
He added that Government alone can not shoulder the responsibilities of developing school structures, hence the need for members of the public to assist Government, stressing that the present administration has made the door wide open for this to happen.
Hon Olawumi who expressed appreciation to the Old Students Association of the school for their kind gesture, assure residents of the state that the education sector will not suffer under the present administration.
In his own remarks, Chairman, Board of Govenor, St. Charles' Grammar School, Prof Babatunde Adeleke thanked the 1970/1974 set of the school on the occasion while urging them to contribute more to the development of their Alma mata.
He said members of the Board of Govenors are grateful for their generosity and prayed that God continue to give them the grace to lift the life of others.
In his opening remarks the president, 1970/1974 set of the Old Students Association, Engr. Adekunle Taiwo said they embarked on the project because of the urgent need for the block of classrooms by the school.
He thanked all members of the set for their generous contribution towards the completion of the project which according to him was completed at the cost of N3.8m.
The principal of the school, Mrs Onaolapo Durosomo in her speech thanked the 1970/1974 set for the renovation of the classrooms which has now made the classrooms attractive and conducive for learning.
She further appealed to the old students to help contribute more to the school as the school is in need for more development.
