Oyetola Capable, Prepared for Good Governance - High Chief Popoola

The Otun Ajagunna of Osogbo Land, High Chief Popoola Bolarinwa has revealed that Oyetola is up to the task in the state governance owing to the fact that he had prepared himself for a focused leadership before assuming the toga.

He made this known while the Special Adviser to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola on Civic Engagement, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye led the team of Ministry of Information (Civic Engagement) to an interactive session at his residence, Osogbo.

Popoola, one of the kingmakers in Osogbo described Oyetola as a financial expert of uncommon sagacity redefining public administration with his hybrid of private and public experience.

He equally extolled his adroit managerial efforts in setting Osun on the track of sustainable development through his marvelous development of every sector of the state economy.

"His intervention in the health sector will forever linger in the mind of Osun people as the upgrading of 322 primary health centres has given direct and proximate opportunity to every community in the state who had to cover a long distance to access health services before.

"Large number of communities in Osun has equally benefited from the road constructions by Oyetola's administration while security refurbishment to boost the existing peace Osun currently enjoys is not left out through the productive establishment of Amotekun security outfit", he stated.

The industrious son of Osogbo land also described Oyetola as a listening leader who aligns with democratic tendencies in piloting the affairs of the state, noting further that his education policy review was done in tandem with the people's yearnings.

"The education policy reversal by Oyetola is borne out of the reflection of public opinion which in real sense, did not change the erstwhile intervention of former administration in the education sector but only brought about modifications tailored around the yearnings of the people.

"People are happy about the modifications such as the return of old schools and uniforms because our sociocultural background is not used to radical change but a systematic and progressive one", he added.

He equally inundated Oyetola to expend his efficient and productive zeal and wherewithal as used in the performing sectors of the economy on the state tourism by developing all the state's centres of attraction to a world standard, noting further that it would serve as a potent means of boosting the state economy through an increase in internally generated revenue, thereby facilitating employment and other socioeconomic benefits as seen in most developed nations.

While speaking on state of agriculture, he entreated the people of the state to take advantage of the several opportunities such as wide range of land, interest free capital, grants among others which Oyetola-led administration had harnessed for their benefits for the development of our homegrown farming.

Popoola however, urged the citizens and residents of Osun to rally their supports round Oyetola to continue on his quest to take the state a pinnacle of development.
