UNILAG ALUMNI ASSOCIATION VISITS OYETOLA

The Governor, State of Osun, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has again reiterated his campaign promises to run a friendly, transparent and accountable Government.

Governor Oyetola stated this while receiving the executives of the University of Lagos Alumni Association in his office,  Bola-Ige House, Abeere.

He said Osun is a small state placed on unique values. He added that the State of Osun is richly blessed in Minning and the state of Osun is ready to partner with the Federal Government to foster it's effectiveness and advantages to boost the economy. He added that it is time to diversify in to Agriculture and Minning.

Governor Oyetola opened that a summit will be coming up in the first quarter of this year which will highlights the potentials of the State of Osun and encourage investors to fit in.

"Presently, our dear State of Osun is enjoying about 18 hours of electricity per day and this will benefits investors who are ready to invest in our state"

"In addition, Osun is also endowed with  many Tourists sites and we are expecting you to get involved in the development of Tourism"

"We've invested massively in infrastructures, and we are not relenting"

Governor Oyetola had earlier applauds the Alumni Association of UNILAG for their efforts at steering the Alumni Association to greater heights, adding that the state government will support in the area of capacity building.

Speaking earlier on behalf of the Alumni President, Mr. John Mohmo, the Vice president of the association,  Chief Fasi Yusuf said that the courtesy call dwelt  on congratulating Oyetola on his assumption of office as the governor of the state and also to inform him on the activities lined up for the 50th anniversary of the association.

He noted that the Alumni Association of UNILAG is so lucky to have Governor Oyetola as one of their member, adding that the association is having three governors from the South West of Nigeria, Governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos State and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.

He however prayed for a successful tenure of office for Oyetola, saying, during his reign,. Osun will witness Philomena change.

He said the association is keen to qualitatively and quantitatively grow the association in all respect among other advantages.

The association later exchange gifts with Governor Oyetola and his team and vice-versa to make the visit a memorable one.
