On arrival in Nigeria and reunion with family members in Iragbiji, Osun State, a distressed Nigerian couple, Tiamiyu Nurain and his wife, Adeyemi Rukayat, who were stranded in Vietnam after falling prey to a calculated foreign-trip scam, have expressed profound gratitude to the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola over his philanthropic financial bailout.

Addressing press interview after paying an appreciative homage to the prominent monarch of the ancient town, Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdur-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi Odundun IV, at his palace recently, the couple in their expression of appreciation, described the Minister as "God-sent" and his intervention as a "lifeline" without which their lives would have remained in shambles.

According to them, they were helpless and hopeless as no succour was in sight before the financial intervention of the Minister in October last year which gave them a lifeline and hope renewal.

Narrating their ordeal, the couple said they were on their way to Singapore en route Vietnam where they were having a stopover before they became trapped and stranded in the country.

Speaking on the unfriendly and obnoxious atmosphere of the country, they said the Minister's fiscal aid to the tune of the sum of N4.5 million was sufficient, but for a sum of N1.8 million which they were made to pay as a surcharge for overstaying in Vietnam.

"We will forever remain grateful to the former governor of Osun State and Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, our Daddy, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, for his show of love, compassion and empathy to us.

"Yes, we are from Iragbiji in Osun State, but the Minister doesn't know us, and that's why we described him as "God-sent" to us.

"But for his empathetic bailout, we would have remained entangled and ensnared in the Vietnamese unfriendly environment, where we were dumped having been dumped by our traveling agent.

"We were emotionally and physically distressed, but we thank God all ended in praise, and for this, we shall remain grateful to God Almighty.

"Prominently, amongst many people who have empathized with us, we profoundly appreciate Kabiyesi, His Royal Majesty, Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdur-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi Odundun IV, for his fatherly love and royal reception on our arrival in Iragbiji", the couple said.
